Crack the code from the clues before your tries run out.
▶ Play Code Lock — free, no installA hidden code of symbols sits behind the lock — and symbols are allowed to repeat, so you are deducing identities and counts. Build a guess from the icon palette, submit it, and read the feedback on every slot.
The feedback works like Wordle: green means right symbol in the right slot, amber means the symbol is in the code but somewhere else, grey means it is not in the code at all. Each code symbol only ever lights up one slot of your guess, so two ambers really do mean two copies.
How to play
- Tap palette icons to fill the guess slots; tap a filled slot to clear it.
- Submit with the gold ✓ — the guess slides into your history with per-slot feedback.
- Green = right slot, amber = wrong slot, grey = not in the code. Crack it before your attempts run out.
Modes & difficulty
Difficulty changes the whole deduction: Easy is a 3-symbol code from a palette of four with six attempts; Medium keeps three slots but adds a fifth symbol and takes an attempt away; Hard asks for a 4-symbol code from five symbols in five attempts. A generous 40-second clock runs in Roulette — it is there to keep the feed moving, not to rush your logic.
One tip
Spend your first guess on a census: all different symbols, no repeats. The greens, ambers and greys from that one row tell you which symbols are in the code at all — then use later guesses to pin down positions and duplicates.
